Groundhog, who says investors are rational? Funds especially do stupid things like that. They get irked and want out. They can tell a trader "I want at least .81 and sell everything I have." or something like that. Example is PANL an Artic shipper recently. A fund that had two board seats on it that had held it for years decided to sell, just before when I bot it.

The stock had gone no where for years. They were public about it, leaving the board and drove it down from $3 to $2, getting the lowest prices ever for PANL (US). I bot more and now a few months later it is up 100% at $4 the highest price in 2 years. An epic stupid move by pro investment firm.
