No one really knows why the sp falls or jumps. My two guesses are:
1. MML's price jump attracted short term momentum buyers, who just as quickly jump off when the price turns. Result is more upward and downward movement of the price.
2. I think MML would be on some gold mining stock ETFs or similar. ETFs allow fast buying and selling, which may require the fund to buy and sell the stock no matter what the company or gold price is actually doing.
