Hi amex BTW - I have enjoyed reading your assessment of BTA over the last few weeks.
I understand that we are only stockpiling enough anti-virals to use prophylatically for all of 5 weeks! So any attempt to use the stockpile for that purpose is doomed to failure, on the assumption that the pandemic will be a three to six month exposure period, and will occur in 'waves' over the time. Laver has publically stated that this is a useless attempt at controlling any outbreak, and that if we only use the drugs for those who actually contract the disease, isolate those people and ensure strict hygeine principles (reverse aircond, spacesuit style nursing etc) then the supplies will be adequate for treating people who are actually sick.
And that seems logical to me!
