All PM share holders should have a read of page 22/23 of this weekend's Fin Review for a good discussion on gold shares (and by implication all PM shares).

After a lengthy dissertation on all that's wrong, the article goes on to say:

"Despite the tough times facing Australian Gold miners, there is a sense their time will come again and now could be a good time to invest."

and

"You are starting to see the gold market outperform the sharemarket. Gold shares haven't outperformed yet, but I think we will see some catch-up soon."
