what a load of bollocks. The O&G majors have absolutely nothing to fear with PEP11. They’ve all had the chance to ‘peek inside the curtains’ and they’re simply not interested.
Yet.
Now if a major discovery was made, you know, where actual molecules of hydrocarbons are detected and recovered to surface via the drill string, then we’d have a different story.
what the majors don’t want is a penny dreadful undertaking exploration that creates environmental and/or PR disaster and affects all the hard work they’re doing on their social licence to operate and general O&G industry sentiment.
