I have been thinking the same way. We are only mining and processing the highest grade part of a much larger resource. When phosphate prices were near multi decade lows, the initiallly planned, larger scale dig and export project didn't stack up all that well. The current plan was a much better alternative even with those low prices. With the current much higher prices, I hope the company has another look at a second, export business using the phosphate not in the current mine plan for the phosphate blend project. That phosphate is still relatively high grade. I don't know if it's worthwhile or not though and no doubt getting the current project going first will be the priority. Following that, the green ammonia will probably be the focus and bring much better returns than a phosphate export business so perhaps the company is better offer with the current plans.
It's nice to have that extra option though. Maybe later?
