If you go back to my previous post, I was quoting the $8 billion debt number from Chanos himself. The moron can't even get his numbers right. Here is the exact excerpt of his interview on Bloomberg:
Shatzker then asked Chanos to put a target price on Mallinckrodt: Jim Chanos: Well, there's $8 billion in debt here, and the operating income (most recent quarter annualized) is under $300 million. Eric Schatzker: So put a number on it. Jim Chanos: Well, the debt's not worth 100 cents on the dollar, so what's that tell you about the stock? Eric Schatzker: It's a zero? Jim Chanos: I think it's a zero.
Everybody and their dog have known for a while that Mallinckrodt's Acthar was investigated and they already paid fines. Everybody and their dog also have known for a while that Mallinckrodt's revenues from generics is declining. I highlighted that several times on HC. Apparently Chanos' head is buried in the sand. Perhaps his losses shorting Tesla have fried his brain.
@Ishere: You said "Wow you're telling me to be objective... haha that's funny. I'll try. I will reply to your question of course and I think understand why you don't me to reference Chanos history of quite often getting it right. Your going to have to wait though (I'm not sure if I can sum it up better than Madamswer) I'm a little busy about to board a flight and it will take me a few more minutes than I have available to find the articles that were a red flag for me. And Just to mention as I am holder of MSB I don't think it's fair to assume I'm necessarily not objective..."
