No doubt a group of locals will oppose it to the end, as is their right. I certain do not begrudge anyone that right. And I agree that the low shots are not really necessary.
But clearly there are a large group of landholders who don't and won't oppose it, not to mention the Victorian Government who can see the long-term economic benefit to the state.
Those landholders that do/may oppose may change their mind once they see a very generous offer for their land on the table.
Oh, and tust because you can grow lettuce in your backyard, does not make your land 'prime agricultural land'.
