You are correct, MNS does usually jump (some would say unusually) in price preceding announcements . Some people call this phenomenon “coincidence” and others have a more skeptical view that it’s a leaky ship meaning that someone in the know either buys shares leading up to the announcement or tells others who do. So in essence, that perculiarity skews your algorithm.
I was once long MNS but bailed when the technicals turned south about the same time management took their eye off the ball. They need to get Nachu firing up to survive.
