the parks there are awesome. In Tokyo you have Disneyland (which is very much like the US traditional Disneyland in every way) and Disney SeaLife. Go to both but depending on the age of your kids Disney Sealife has less rides overall (so it gets busier) and less younger kids rides than Tokyo Disney.
If your kids are in the 5-10 years old range there is a brilliant indoor place called Kidzania. Google it. Extremely well run place.
