Yep, Likely that power for charging will be done via coal at least for a while.....keep in mind India goin into new energy /battery storage, solar etc etc in a big way.
As far as this guys opinion that electric cars will do "more" damage that ICE vehicles...how could you possibly know that ? And IMO fairly ridiculous assumption
I don't have my head in the sand and do get that ev's have environmental issues but the vast amount of research that I can find is positive.....door

There is a fairly simple test this guy can do ie:
Test 1 - Put your face directly behind an exhaust pipe of a running combustion engine car and take some nice deep breaths see how long you can stay there
Test 2 - Repeat above test but with a electric vehicle , oh hang on ,do they have an exhaust ? Sorry can't compare
