Weekends are always a good time for a bit of background research ...and I find the more I look into the mConnect Group, and read around the media sector, the more exciting Media3Corp's latest acquisition target begins to look.

Turns out there are actually two major enterprises within the mConnect business. Both operating in VERY sexy areas!

I suppose I should name them, first of all ...and I'll certainly do that, and provide a couple of links so folk can check them out for themselves, in a moment.

But first let me just preface that by pointing you in the direction of a presentation by Steve Jobs, obviously of Apple fame, on what Apple are calling "iADs" - on the exciting possibilities offered by mobile technologies for the future of advertising. This runs for about 10 mins, but is well worth the viewing:

I think we all know of Jobs' uncanny ability to sniff out and indeed actively shape future trends ...and it's plain Apple can see where things are heading for advertising. Jobs' quietly understated enthusiasm here is unmistakable.

So now back to mConnect. Might I suggest you head to the following site to check out the first of the two businesses mConnect is bringing to MVH:

    MOTOPIA. It's at:

    http://web.motopia.com/

Navigate round the site, and you'll see that the mConnect/Motopia boys are all over the applications Jobs is pushing. These guys are already offering campaign management, "Apps", mobile billing ...the works!

And business is evidently booming. I think we got a hint of just how well in the Announcement heralding the acquisition:

"...The target company has a strong profit history. EBITDA for the 2010 financial year was approximately $1.8 million and the forecast EBITDA for this financial year is between $2- $3 million..." (Company Announcement: "Acquisition", 16th August 2010)

I gather it's possible, even likely, these numbers will be surpassed. Seems to me we're coming to this at just the right moment when interest is ...well, exploding!

The second business mConnect brings us is:

ZEAL ENTERTAINMENT. You can check it out at:

    http://www.zeinternational.com/

Zeal Entertainment is "...a worldwide leader in digital media production and distribution. We are a boutique distributor with a unique knowledge of the business and a global distribution network. Unlike many digital media distributors, we work with just a small number of premium brands..."

Zeal is partnered with Foxtel, Sky, Orange, Vodafone & Telstra, to name but a few, and distributes content to 33 countries worldwide!

Rob Hoath, CEO of the mConnect Group, has promised further "...updates to the market as we release some incredibly exciting and unique mobile marketing solutions, which will have mass appeal across brands and media agencies globally". (Company Announcement: "mConnect Acquisition Due Diligence Completed Successfully", 23 September, 2010)

Must say, I for one will be watching with bated breath.

Remember ...these developments are all IN ADDITION to cBox's extraordinary contribution to MVH's turnaround which, in the past 12mths, has seen the Company's net equity increase from $324K to $2.48m!

When you look at the likes of WFM, which currently has a market capitalization of $98m, and compare it with MVH at just $15m, I think you begin to see the possibilities.
