Yep. Mocka has been a massive distraction and capital killer.
The damage done last year on product issues and horrendous delivery failure has been extremely significant. Hard to keep staff motivated when in the eye of a storm. If H2 FY’23 sees no improvement then ADH would have to seriously consider closing Mocka down. For mine both issues come back to poor internal management of Mocka. That is an inescapable fact.
I must admit though that the financials for Mocka this half do not match the improving customer sentiment I am seeing on blogs and social media. Time will tell if this was a smokescreen or just that the financial improvement lags the customer sentiment improvement.
Just imagine what the H1 results would have been if the Mocka result had have been similar to the first 6 months of ownership. However that is wishful thinking in the extreme and as you and I know the market only deals in harsh realities.
