    My feeling has always been that Corby is guilty although I don't for one moment think she deserves the punishment she's been given.

    This arrest, however, really highlights the issue of selective arrests and that is now a real worry for Australian tourists.

    Granted that it is unbelievable that after Corby, anyone would be silly enough to meddle with drugs in Bali, it is still a great concern that they would walk past people everywhere peddling drugs, to conduct a search on someone at a party.

    Still, it is only this type of exposure that will eventually help reduce the corruption there. The trouble is that in the past there has been little publicity about this.

    In a place where drug use is very apparent, selective arrests like this are in the same category as planting drugs on people - not much different anyway in that it reeks of corruption.
