The government (both Labor and Liberal alike) have been totally distracted by all the screaming minorities and have been more interested in appeasing same and making the likes Cate Blanchett, Waleed Aly and others happy rather and accepting their ill informed opinion rather than focusing on the Australian population and their core needs one of which is cheap, reliable and accessible power for their homes, lifestyles and more importantly their jobs
its a classic example of pandering to the ill informed whilst anyone with an engineering, science or infrastructure background who has raised reasonable concerns about how the "real world" was ever going to run on renewables or expressed concerns regards flaws in models was shouted down and painted as some sort of ignorant second class citizen
Ironically we all now get to pay the price for their and our own stupidity
we haven't shown the world how to become a leader in renewables - all our leaders have done is show the world how to destroy a functioning economy and take our electricity infrastructure from being first world/cheap and super reliable to a laughing stock of expensive, unreliable, super expensive, rolling blackout power and it is going to get a lot worse every day as demand for power increases with population and immigration growth
