Dan Andrews should be held account for this. So should any premier who has inadequately failed to prepare their hospital systems.

Even with training/recruiting new nurses, the increased leakage of those leaving would negate any gains in new staff.

It would be interesting to see the stats of new staff and those who have left in comparison to previous years/periods.

Stopping things like elective surgery displaces those staff temporarily, and not all them continue on in the health industry.

A massive cluster f....
