Resource Rent tax is a brilliant tax.
Rudd went in too hard though. It's hard to educate the public let alone hot copper posters just how efficient a RRT really is. especially when there is two certain billionaires in the public ear.
Julia will renegotiate the RRT will stay, the 40% rate will remain, but it will end up on the same terms as the RRT applied to the offshore oil/gas projects. i.e won't kick in till profits exceed 10%.
It was all about protecting Australia from a two-speed economy, the RRT must go ahead in some form.
