You get ncovid-19 when it comes into contact with membranes. You can get it two main ways - air droplets and/or surface transmission.
This particular virus is very infectious because it can last on surfaces for up to 9 days. So yes, you can use a mask and goggles. But imagine you take the goggles off, accidentally touch the outside of the goggles, and then rub your itchy eyes or touch your nose.
You can imagine now why people are hyping Zoono because it stops the surface transmission vector completely.
The problem with traditional alcohol based hand sanitisers is that they only kill there and then. The surface can reacquire the virus.
