I swear we have discussed this many times before, I am surprised you still don't understand.



The silicon is coated with a polymer. not graphite.
Companies can coat the silicon with a graphite coating, although the battery life is lost due to expansion of the silicon (300% expansion)

The following image is from Tesla battery day, it shows Raw Silicon (Yellow) with a conductive polymer coating, the image on the right shows the Silicon / conductive polymer mixed with Graphite (Red Arrow - Potato shape/spheres), Blue is the binder.
