I am now looking at two notification messages from an unnamed mod.

The later one saying my post has been restored - but it hasn't in the sense that it is still not displayed.

Are humans or bots doing the moderating ? - because this is like how a human operator watching too many bot operators for them to stay on top of would moderate in my opinion.

If the post isn't publicly visible - its not restored.

If the moderator or any reviewers reviewed and decided the post shouldn't be restored then there wouldn't be a notification saying the post is restored.

I can work around a poor modification if its a one off - just like a person playing sport can wear a poor umpiring decision in their own view - but this feels like robo-moderation. It feel like the review - doesn't have human intelligence behind it. It feels like a robo moderator has taken a complaint from a poster complaining wrongly and given the complainer the benefit of the doubt - then a poster has wanted a review and robo-reviewer has sent a notication saying the post has been restored and not actually restored it.

What is going on here please - it hotcopper using is site as some sort of AI testing ground for robo- moderation or something - because this feels like that sort of over application of an algorithm sort of silliness.
