This clause:
"Stay on topic. If your reply isn't relevant to the thread, post a new thread."
And the general tone of the rules seem to run the risk of limiting the free flow and development of discussion.
In general the rules seem overly 'school masterly' and restrictive. I understand HC's concern - you can look in on almost any Yahoo stock message board to see what happens when free rein is allowed.
