The RBA has not yet embarked on QE. It stands ready to do so, but so far it has not been necessary. It has set up a Term Funding facility for lending to banks, and it has purchased bonds from the secondary market as part of its open market operations to lower the cost of borrowing and credit and to ensure the three year yield is appropriate relative to the cash rate, but none of those measures are QE.
