FDA yesterday have concerns about the insufficient evidences of 16 and older that take mRNA vaccines such as pFizer. However, their main concern seems to be the data showing the probability of young people having myocarditis might be high. From the other hand, it doesn't rule out the booster yet. It just need more data to prove it.
Nevertheless, Novavax is not showing such concerns and has been considered as a more safe vaccine comparing to mRNAs. So I am a bit surprised that Moderna is coming back to the table, but haven't ruled out Novavax yet.
One more fact that we all fairly know here - even if Moderna seeks collaboration in manufacturing mRNA vaccines, it takes at least months to build the facility - that's where the government funding comes in.
So for the current circumstances, I would still vote for Novavax as our no.1 choice.
