Pretty sure there is more than one influenza vaccine, and that gets modified most years to cope with mutations so once they find a few approaches that work they, who ever they happen to be will on a perennial winner. AND there will always be people who it does not work for or do not vaccinate, so there will be plenty of room for a good ARDS solution (we hope/expect), and maybe whatever else needs remediating, just for COVID-19, then there are all the other ARDS causes.
It will be wonderful when we can move on to the other solutions Mesoblast has been working on, and those not yet started. Yes the pandemic is front and centre but one day it will not be.
