The last CEO went to great lengths to corral reticent shareholders or the ones that weren’t comfortable in handling the digital platform
In my opinion he was prepared to abandon elderly customers both in the banking branch or as shareholders.

I have basically been denied a vote because I refuse to vote or participate online…. having preferences for printed materials
The director’s and registry’s companies go to great length to place obstacles or hurdles to force shareholders to vote online.

They believe that they’re not contravening section 110E of the Corp Act by simply posting a letter on how to obtain printed material,
They simply Ignore my request for a full compliment of printed material to be able to make an informed vote.

It is time to force the Institute of Directors and Management to use the full functionality of the digital platform at a hybrid AGM!
Using the capabilities of a digital platform will improve transparency and the integrity of a resolution results

THESE DAYS, THERE IS NO NEED FOR THE BOARD AND MANAGEMENT TO KNOW THE RESULT ON A RESOLUTION!
They should be only become aware of the numbers or percentage of votes at the same time as attendees and online shareholders who are participating in the AGM.

The excuse to know the results for display purposes should have gone many years ago.
It was based on them being allowed to access and being updated by the registry company’s on the number of proxy votes coming in.

I believe it isn’t illegal for the BOD and management to approach the the T20 to alter their votes or persuade proxy advisor to alter their assessment of a company if voting results appear detrimental to a resolution.

I have discussed with a number of registry companies about whether they could sit on the panel with the board and mangement and display the voting results after voting by attendees and onliners.

This doesn’t mean it will be the final result but will improve the voting result’s integrity….the Corp Act may need to be changed to ban registry company’s being allowed to forward voting info to a company prior to an AGM.

Note: I might be an old fart but I have worked not directly in IT, but the concepts were applicable in may last employment.

I intentionally try to keep my digital foot print to a minimum for serious stuff....my assessment of this tech, is it hasn’t mature enough from a security point of view to be, “fit for purpose” for serious stuff.

Only fit for socialising, a bit of research and advertising purposes!
