last night on CNN Al Gore suggested strongly (again) that the drivers of the world should be plugging their cars in for power and that they give up the irresponsible guzzling of gas as soon as possible. how on earth can this do any good until the majority of power plants in the world are nuclear powered? Surely he is not suggesting we burn even more coal to create the clean energy to run our vehicles. Just imagine the amount of energy required to replace the petrol we use daily. I like Al Gore but just can't see where he's coming from.
As he bluntly stated last night, clean coal technology is a farce, so where is this clean power source going to come from so quickly....lots of wind maybe?
