Many years ago I read ‘Flash Boys’ and then educated myself on HFT and (subsequently) algo trading in Aus.
I don’t necessarily agree with it (nor am I a fan of the ASX if you look through my post history) however if you have an entry and exit price then it doesn’t change too much in the long term. And that’s the crux of it - I’m an investor, not a trader.
This year the market has resembled a casino more than any time I can remember. Precautions need to be taken, particularly those new to the market more than ever.
