That was very interesting goggo. I guess that if they have problems measuring vitamin D then they are having problems measuring many other things.

A friend went through a torrid time after a PSA test came back too high. He was immediately referred to a specialist who performed a biopsy that was carried out with him fully concious ( very unleasant ) and left him peeing blood for weeks not to mention sex which was also bloody.

The test was inconclusive and the specialist blithely sugested that he wait for 6 weeks and they do it again. He insisted on general anesthetic for that one. The test came back negative.

So, I guess anything that can give much more accurate test results will not only save the patient from unnecessary trauma but reduce the cost by, hopefully, getting it right the first time.
