It is looking more like Abbott will be back. No one would have imagined it a year ago when then it seemed just so implausible.
But we do live in desperate times.
Turnbull is making no political headway on any front and the detestable Bill Shorten is looking more and more likely to be heading to The Lodge God Forbid. That would be a catastrophe for Australia.
The great talent of Peter Dutton acknowledged, Abbott is one who we know can maul the Opposition to pieces and make the necessary political headway on the floor of Parliament and outside it on the street and on the hustings.
It looks more and more likely that Abbott is coming back. If that is what must happen to save the country from Shorten and the now - hijacked Get-Up ALP let it happen without delay.
