Blindfreddie can see that if you promote your successes then more people are likely to take an interest in the company and buy shares. More buyers typically leads to a higher share price. A higher share price and better performance becomes a virtuous cycle in so far as access to capital, more ability to deliver success, higher share price, etc...
It's a simple enough - and relatively cheap - exercise to promote a companies activities on social media. You can hire a gang of uni students, etc... (under the leadership of experienced marketing executives) to trawl through media, write blogs, make links, etc... Basically get the information to those targeted audiences that are interested in it. This can be B2B or B2C depending on your product and / or audience. There are a number of established business out there that do this. You just have to connect to one and you're away.
It's just not that hard and the benefits should be pretty darn obvious.
