There was a report recently from the WHO where asymptomatic people were not shown to be spreading the disease.

Then the Dr claimed that it was not necessarily applicable globally. I was under the impression that it was the same virus...
"The World Health Organization’s technical lead for Covid-19, to say asymptomatic transmission is rare globally., has clarified comments she made about the transmission of the coronavirus, saying that the the amount of transmission from people with no symptoms is unknown.There had been concern from some experts after Kerkhove said in a press briefing on Monday that transmission of coronavirus by people with no symptoms is “very rare”. They said this guidance could pose problems for governments as they seek to lift lockdowns. In Brazil, the president, Jair Bolsonaro, a coronavirus sceptic, seized on Kerkhove’s comments as proof his country should be reopening for business.On Tuesday, Kerkhove said it was a “misunderstanding” to say asymptomatic transmission is rare globally."
