Favourite very much on edge in the mounting yard although believe has been somewhat that way at previous starts and was that way all the way to the barrier. Did win by big spaces at all previous runs but yesterdays field was far better than you might expect to get for a $35k midweek race normally. There was always going to be a fair bit of pressure up front as well so no surprise that Orbysin knocked up although I see the one that took him on Parko managed to hold on pretty well to finish a couple of spots in front of him. It was a day for front runners though so perhaps that helped. Wet weather has prevented or put off a lot them from having a run including our bloke.
Don't go to the races midweek very often but should perhaps do so more often - think you can get a fair lead from mounting yard, probably more so than on weekends for a metropolitan meeting. Race clubs don't do themselves many favours though - $12 for a glass of mediocre bubbles for the better half and poor service to go with it does not inspire
