Lets just say for arguments sake that man is causing the problem. How are the current ETS plans going to make any difference? And does anyone seriously think if we cut our own economic throats that other countries are going to follow our 'cool aide drinking' lead?

Keep doing what we are doing and push real money into nuclear and solar (all for less pollution just not government redistributing my wealth) then the shift can be seamless and less painful, and who know we might have something we can sell to the rest of the world. An ETS is just crazy, and any rational person, including a censored CSIRO global warming believing scientist, would have to agree. I'll gladly spend money on something real, not fear mongering.
