See today's AFR page 1 and page 19, and it gets worse for SGR. Ross Greenwood host of the Sky News Business Today, summed it up yesterday. There was a SGR segment and its current woes, "at its peak, SGR had a market cap of about $16Bn, and now is less than $1bn." However, it certainly was not an el cheapo type of decline, no way, $Mns of remuneration and bonuses to all those SGR Board and executives, and that NSW Govt (read hard working NSW taxpayers under cost-of-living pressures) high cost bail out in late 2023. How safe are those monies, will be the last time any Casino is bailed out by taxpayers. Have to wait for the current Inquiry to complete and issue the report, but are there fiduciary responsibilities of the Board and Chairman to consider?
