SPI Futures traded in a 40 point range Friday night, with a high of 5747, low of 5707 and a close of 5743 on Saturday morning, up 15 point, on lowish volume (again) of 11,155 contracts. Based on that range my pivot point for today is 5732, with resistance lines at 5772, 5762, 5757, 5752, 5748 and 5742, and support lines at 5722, 5717, 5712, 5708, 5702 and 5692. No gaps left from Friday, nothing above, but plenty below from previous days. Not much of a lead from overseas, with the DOW down .02 pct, SNP down .01 pct and Canada (resource driven) up .24 pct. The VIX was down 6.72 pct to 18.19, bucking the inverse correlation - again. Complacency or Happy Day's ? Humm.. Halifax Investment Services placed in administration since November 23rd with a client money shortfall of up to 20 million. Humm, I wonder why this wasen't covered by the news sooner ? They join the collapsed local broker list along with BBY, Sonray, MF Global and Opes Prime. A reminder to have a methodology in place to sweep funds out of margin accounts on a regular basis. in America there is something called Customer Protection rule SEC 15c3-3 - could be we need something similar here. On this day in 1976, 'The Bionic Woman' starring Lindsay Wagner debuted on TV. If there was a Six Million Dollar man, there had to be a Bionic Woman right ? Monday again, usually with a bias to the upside, and people saying the bottom is in... Humm. I'll keep adding to shorts me thinks - Mister 67 poinert awaits - 5413. Have a nice day. Oh, and Brixit seems to be delayed again... could be Theresa May needs to watch a few episodes of the Bionic Woman.
