The jitters were from what Trump was going to do about China, not the riots.
The riots seem to have no effect on the market. We've seen it before with previous protests breaking into riots in the U.S. Little or no effect.
It probably doesn't help that many of those protesters may have lost their jobs. They probably believe that they have nothing left to lose.
This isn't Hong Kong where they are protesting over a different thing...
