Black Death spurred the Renascence and societal change through Europe morphing into our current society. So killing of significant slabs of the population is not all bad.
Might be the only way to reset the wealth inequality - Covid doesn't kill enough for this outcome though so probably going to have to release one of the special bugs the Pentagon has been hoarding.
