    Take hard assets like real estate.
    People need to sell, due to death, divorce and debt etc , the days of our lives.

    So they get a wheelbarrow full of paper in return.
    There are few alternatives.

    Stocks with a return above inflation, perhaps?
    WBC and NAB, instead of returning money , just demanded more.
