Why would anyone invest in NZ companies?The political system with its MMP election process, means that any fringe group can gain disproportionate traction for the most trivial of causes.I invest heavily in Australian and US resource stocks, but I would not entertain investing in NZ in any stock sector.I once held BTU, but sold at a loss and went elsewhere.
I was born and grew up in NZ, but have resided across the Tasman for a long time.I look back at my old country and see a community bound by silly, false green philosophies that stop any form of progress.In the end the world does not care if NZ is "pure" or clean and green.In the end NZ citizens are being impoverished by small, vocal conservation groups who have no idea of the big picture.
I wish you all well with Bathurst and I hope that one day it will be able to provide jobs for locals and profits for shareholders.
