They should just go straight to the high court or the national significance path. 300 odd Jobs just went down the tubes, and whoever said that the workers from spring creek would be more likely to uproot families and move to Australia to possibly get a job in the mines needs a high 5.. to the face .. with a fist.
Westport is 1 hour away from Greymouth, perhaps closer to 2 hours if you make the trip to the bottom of the Millerton track and stop in Westport for a freckels pie (best pies in the world). If they are doing 4 on 4 off shifts its more than achievable to commute from Greymouth, I imagine some people would even make the huge move to Westport to get into a job with BTU. Its not that far, its not another country.

Im going back home to Westport after xmas so heres hoping for some happy news next year.
