Monday 4th Feb - When it rains it pours

SPI futures traded in a 38 point range Friday night, with a high of 5830, low of 5792 and a close on Saturday morning of 5821, up 20 points on volume of 10,444 contracts, after a 10 point green bar at the close. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels are below. Gaps from Friday night up at 26, 27 and 30 and then the elusive 64 from a previous day. Gap down from Friday night at 01. DOW up .26 pct, SNP up .09 pct and Canada (resource driven) down .22 pct.VIX down 2.60 pct to 16.14.

On this day in 2012, tens of thousands of people were stranded by floods in the Australian states of New South Wales and Queensland.
