SPI Futures traded in a small 24 point range Friday night, with a high of 6248, low of 6224 and a close on Saturday morning of 6236, up/down zero points, on low volume (again) of 8,849 contracts. Based on that range, my pivot point and R and S levels are below. Fantastic numbers out of China late Friday drove SPI up, but then she stopped at 48 and decided she didn't like the party. DOW up 1.03 pct, SNP up .66 pct and Canada (resource driven) up less at .49 pct. VIX down 7.76 pct to 12.01 - happy days. US apparently up on a strong earnings report from JP Morgan and a good response to Walt Disney's upcoming streaming service. Nice. Gaps up at 6271 and 6270 from a previous day and 6247, 6239 and 6235 from Friday night and down at 6233, 6228 and 6224 from Friday night and 6201, 6188, 6186, 6184, 6182, 6174, 6170, 6166 and 6157 from previous days. Humm. A fairly lone list.
Speaking of good numbers - Today in 2009 - Even though official government sources stated that Argentina's GDP would actually grow that year, private consulting firms state that the Argentine economy has actually been in recession since October 2008. Show us your books - or as Jerry Macquire would say, "Show me the Money". Have a nice day. ES futures have just opened flat, however, there are gaps on the downside.
