A good wipe-out like this is the very best thing to teach you to really hate losses so much that you don't venture your capital ever again in one cavalier punt,.
Smaller punts on high risk give great returns and larger amounts on sure steady growth also give great returns, spread it a little and don't risk it all on a 50/50 call ever again.
Sell some off into the hype and hold enough to make the gain or take the loss as it plays.
These are great opportunities if you get up to fight another day, they suck big time, but there is no better teacher.
