FB, I agree, FMG in the past years has had an excellent relationship with China, that has been stepped up over the past couple of years to the extent where FMG go to the trouble of dealing with local and some smaller Chinese importers in Yuan currency. To the extent, I believe, other exporters are now considering following suit.

"Preferred status" is very important in Chinese Culture and FMG seems to be gaining it.

As you probably know, in July 2011 it was announced that FMG was/is considering a dual listing in the Hong Kong (stable and tied to USD) or Shanghai (which would need changes to China's Policy) exchange's. This would also assist in enabling or cementing ties. Given the present economic volatility, courtesy of the EU, they only have to wait until more favourable conditions prevail to do so.

It's wheels within wheels with wheels, but even smaller cogs quite often assist the bigger ones to perform beyond expectations.
