Initially, I thought the same until I saw the figures for Canada, Russia and some of the South American countries. They can also be broadly defined as "commodity" driven economies. I'm beginning to wonder how much our media's natural predisposition to hyperventilate over "gloom" has caused the rest of us (with the exception of the present company, of course) to feel a sense pessimism which has rubbed off on our market...
