SPI Futures traded in a 35 point range Friday night, with a high of 6487, low of 6452, and a close on Saturday morning of 6462, down 2 points on lowish volume of 10,178 contracts. DOW up .37 pct, SNP up .14 pct, and Canada (resource driven) up more, at .40 pct. VIX down 6.32 pct to 15.85. US up, SPI closed at 6462, the previous day US were down, and SPI closed at 6464 - 2 points difference - Something going on ? Maybe the headline "Wall Street clings to gains on trade hopes" Gotta love that hopium. Maybe SPI isn't a believer. XJO might be, but not the SPI. Gaps up at 71 and 87 from Friday night and 93 from a previous day. Gap down at 55 from Friday night and a long list below that from previous days, starting with 42, then 34. ES opened flat at 8 am. US markets closed for Memoria Day. Have a nice day.
Today in 1930, The 1,046-foot (319 meters) Chrysler Building in New York City, the tallest man-made structure at the time, opened to the public. Today, the worlds tallest building is the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and stands at 2,722 feet (829.9 meters). Now that's pretty tall, more than twice the size of the Chrysler Building. It's amazing what people can do if their bored.
