The 50 points SPI did not translate into 50 points XJO. Many companies, such as BHP, AGK, LEI, LLC... (34 in total) go ex-div and bad MQG spoil the bull party. Well, stock market is a moving target. Cannot get it right all the time in short time frame. If I get it right, more or less like lady luck is on my side.

Anyone who is hoping SPI premium, I am pretty sure will get one, if not now, definitely in 10 days, when Sept contract roll over into Dec. It is a lot easier to predict SPI premium or discount, than SPI up and down. My little secret is simply looking at the longer dated SPI contract to get the discount or premium in the future. Of course, the difference in closing trading time and market manipulation can generate some excitements.
