    CFD's are not a favorite of mine, in fact i never used them, and I do not think I ever will.

    There is always a twist, in their favor of course.

    I have Telstra as long term buy, not for CFD position. Interest could eat your capital, while you waiting for it to move.

    I prefer ETO's, if you go long you have a call over actual shares.
    You can modify and build spreads, much more flexible than CFD. You can roll over from month to month, if you still want to be in the stock.
    Transaction fees on ETO's are steeper than on shares.

    I use them when building position, locking in known prices while waiting for funds, and to get a bit of extra income in slack times.
