I wouldn't quite call TAS and BHP 'similar shares'!
I have held some BHP since 1991, and then bought a heap more three years ago when it dipped to $8, and I'm rapped it's almost doubled in that time. Very happy to take the divvies offered. But I doubt people are buying TAS for the LT and future dividends, do you?
