Henza - I can't answer if cawse was a bargin or problem - I dont know.
Nor can I answer when RS became aware of problems But yes, he should have done a complete review when he took up the job - he would have had to rely on advice from some of those employed to do certain things before he got there - espesh dept heads etc at least to some degree.
People were also already employed and contracted to do stuff before he got there - and if they knew he'd find stuff wrong with what they did would they make it easy for him to identify it -
If you knew the new ceo got a wiff that things were not right and you knew you were responsible and he was head hunting would you try to cover it up - many would.
But yes he will ultimatley be held to account for its success or failure - and reckon he knows that.
